greetings and salutations

ok so i know it's been a while since i've been online...i've got a good excuse: i was on vacation!!! mom and i went to london so we could visit with my cousins teagan and zoe and my aunt lissa and uncle collin. we had so much fun while we were there, and as an added bonus, they even had air conditioning...talk about luxury!!! i wish i was big enough to swim cause they have a pool in their backyard...and uncle collin went out and bought this really cool hose attachment (mount tiki soaky or something like that) which blasts water in the air...if only i had coordination of my limbs and muscles...my cousin teagon was less than impressed with it, so it looks like my aunt and uncle will be running around their yard on their own (that'll be a sight!!!) i got my pictures taken with my cousins too while i was there...everyone says i look too "serious" and i say, you try posing while scrunched inside a basket with another baby lying on top of you. mom had intended to have many more shots taken of me and zoe, but my crankiness overrided their expectations, so unfortunately, there were fewer pictures. i did, however get shots with both my cousins, one with zoe and one on my own...god i'm cute. if mom's computer doesn't crash i'll get her to post a couple. so i hope everyone is doing really good...i still expect you all to send me comments. i'm rushing this along cause i'm afraid the computer will shut down, so until next time...

party on dudes!!!

so i just got home from yet another party...i met tonnes of people tonight, but for the most part, i snoozed while mom carried me around in my sling. i was exhausted! mom's friend nancy came over this afternoon to meet me...i like her a lot. she held me lots and said many nice things about me even though i was super cranky today. the heat is really getting to me as i'm sure it is with everyone. hopefully this heat wave isn't gonna stick around too long. mom took some pictures of me during one of my "moods" today and posted it along with this. so dad's show apparently went "ok" last night...much better for uncle damian though (wink wink) or so i hear... i just wanted to let everyone in on how my day went today and now that i have, i will say good bye and keep the comments coming.

purple lips and shopping trips

hey dudes! boy did i have a busy day today. i've been awake since 6am (with mom)...i just couldn't sleep. maybe it was the gentian violet mom used last night. if any of you don't know what this weird sounding stuff is, it's used by moms who have babies with thrush. unfortunately i have a bit of thrush on my tongue, so mom gave it to me when we were nursing last night, and my little lips went bright purple...looked kinda like i drank a bottle of red wine...you can see the picture below. mom thinks i look pretty cute...what do you think? anyhow, mom and i went with my friend jackson and his mom kim to the eaton center today. we were there for sooooooo long, and i can tell you this much...i'm gonna leave the shopping to mom and dad. i got a bit cranky, but everything was resolved...i was just really hungry today. we kept getting stopped by people commenting on how cute i am, how great my sling is, you know...the usual! i'm SO used to it by now. i'm getting pretty sleepy, but i just want to let everyone know that my dad and uncle damian are playing a show this friday at a place called mitzi's sister...everyone, come on down and check them out. they're also gearing up to play a tribute to a crappy band called thin lizzy...more on that later... i'd like to thank everyone for posting messages to me...i love reading them (or rather hearing mom read them to me) so keep them coming...and oh yeah...stay cool everyone!! until tomorrow...

my first ever blog

Hey everyone!! Welcome to my blog. Today is the official unveiling and oh what a day it is. For being only 6 weeks old, I think I've come a long way. Me and Mom have conquered our breastfeeding problems, and it'll be smooth sailing from here on in (except when I'm going through my growth spurts...it's pretty rough on both of us). So far today I've explored my surroundings, both in and outside the house. My neck is getting really strong so it allows me to really check things out now. And my awareness is very acute. People keep complimenting me on this! Today is Dad's day off, so we get to hang out, which, of course, is pretty cool. Plus it gives Mom a break. I'm making lots more sounds now, and my legs really want to push against things. My Mom and Dad think I'm developing really fast. I can't wait until I can run around and chase Polly and Oscar. I think I'll head back outside but I just want to welcome everyone here. I'm a pretty busy guy, but I'll try to keep up with my posts as often as possible. Happy belated birthday Auntie Lissa...hope you liked the card I sent you. Say hi to my cousins, Teagan and Zoe for me. I can't wait to see you guys again. Until then...
