pleasantly plump or overweight?

so i had my 4 month check-up and second round of immunizations last week...didn't like getting my shots AT ALL. what a difference from my 2 month check-up when i didn't even realise the nurse had poked me at all. this time was a totally different story. dad was holding me, so after it was done, he just hugged me and gave me lots of kisses, so the tears didn't last too long. AND...so the doctor walks into the room and she is floored at how big i am. she kept saying that I'm off the charts for my age, and she's never seen a 4 month old as big as me, which made dad ask her, "are you saying he's overweight or something?" and, get this, SHE SAID YES!!!!! can you even believe that? well this upset mom a bit because from all of the readings she has done, written by lactation experts, it is impossible for an exclusively breastfed baby, like myself, to be overweight. In fact, they say the chubbier the better as it will eventually help to prevent against obesity and many other health problems later in life (mom has done her research). my doc was even trying to convince mom to start me on cereal now, even though the world health organization doesn't recommend it until babies are at least 6 months...and i'm obviously thriving on mom's milk. some people's kids...geesh. so mom is going to trust her own instincts and continue to breastfeed me exclusively for a couple more months. so my cousins zoe and teagan were here for a visit at the beginning of the month. it was so good to see them again, and if you can believe this, i am as big as zoe who is 4 months my senior. weird eh? and teagan is a giant compared to us. thankfully we all made it through the week...this apartment is reeeeeeally small once you get 3 kids, 3 adults and 2 animals in it. we managed quite well though. i think mom was happy to get a chance to visit with auntie lissa in person rather than over the phone. this weekend we're heading to london and st. thomas to visit my papa and nana coleman and hopefully papa keith as well. the last time i saw papa and nana i was only 2 weeks old, and very hungry. so needless to say mom didn't get a chance to visit nor did i for that matter...i promise to be on my best behaviour this time!! AND grandma alston is heading this way for an early christmas in december. i can't wait for that as i haven't seen HER since I was a week old. boy will she be surprised when she sees me!!! so JD is now the official new lead singer of INXS, which is really lame cause Suzie should've won...and in my opinion, it doesn't really matter in the larger scheme of things because INXS is totally washed up and has been since their album KICK, which was well before my time (i'm just going by what mom tells me). i still think my uncle ryan should have tried out for that show because at least it would have been funny. ok so i know i have lots more to say but i'm getting pretty hungry...but i will update again shortly (give it a coupla days uncle damian).
peace out brothers and sisters,
levon
